Cascade, Mich., June 8, 2026 — Cascade Township’s Independence Day celebration returns Saturday, July 4 with a full day of family fun, community tradition, and patriotic spirit.

The day kicks off at 8:30 am with the Township’s Bike Parade, immediately followed by the Community Parade at 9 am. The Grand Marshal for this year’s parade is Chuck Dykhuizen, whose bout with tuberculosis as a child helped to bring Independence Day festivities to Cascade, including the community’s first fireworks show.

Following the parade, the celebration continues with music, food, and games at Friendship Park before concluding with a shared fireworks show with Ada Township at dusk.

“This year’s Independence Day celebration will be even more special as we mark the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence,” said Cascade Township Supervisor Grace Lesperance. “We invite everyone to join in celebrating this exciting milestone in our community.”
