Paid On Call Personnel

Cascade Township Fire Department is looking for people to join the department.  You must live within six miles of Station 1. Some of the job requirements are as follows:

Must be at least 18 years old

Must possess a valid Michigan Drivers License with less than four points

Must be in good physical condition

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent

Must submit to a physical exam, including a drug screen and a physical agility test

Background check and Drivers record check

Essential functions of the job:

Perform specialized duties under emergency conditions

Perform routine work on equipment and buildings

Drive and operate all fire apparatus and rescue equipment

Basic functions:

"Team Player" attitude

Able to lift equipment weighing 50 pounds or more above waist level

Good communication and interpersonal skills to deal with other fire fighters and the public 

Good physical condition
